A Grade II* listed mansion house set in 574 acres of parkland in Essex, Hylands House on the Hylands Estate is a stunning wedding venue. The opulent décor includes 24 carat gold leaf, silk lined walls and gilded ceilings, and the ornate sweeping staircase is a dream for me to capture as your Hyland House wedding photographer. Hylands Estate Weddings at Hylands House
The spacious, beautifully-lit, luxury suites are available on the morning of your Hyland House wedding, so preparations can begin as you can relax with your wedding party. Whether you choose the Wisteria Room, the Rose Room, or the Repton Room, the large windows provide soft light and all the facilities you’d expect from a high-end venue.

I’ve photographed weddings at Hylands House in both the Drawing Room and the Banqueting Room. Both rooms hold up to 100 guests and each space offers something different for your photos. When I’m working as a Hylands House wedding photographer, I am often booked to bring one of my trusted team with me. The Banqueting Room is exquisitely decorated with red silk walls and gold leaf, creating warm tones that are ideal if you are keen on a bold, decadent look with minimal need for added styling. If you are looking for more muted colours, the Drawing Room might be more to your taste. You still get the delicate gilding, a sparkling chandelier, and an impressive marble fireplace, whilst the walls are more neutral in tone and the space is flooded with light from the doors to the East Terrace.
Grand Pavilion Wedding Reception and Party
The Grand Pavilion is a flexible space for larger weddings of up to 300 guests. This is a truly spectacular setting that can be styled as elaborately as you could ever dream of. Particularly suited to large family celebrations and multi-cultural weddings, the team here are specialists in ensuring every detail is taken care of. There’s also the option to have an outdoor wedding at Hylands House, under the oak wedding canopy in the dappled shade of the Estate’s woodland. It’s a peaceful setting, just a short distance from the main house, next to the Victorian Pleasure Garden.
