Hertfordshire is home to a fantastic variety of beautiful and luxury wedding venues making it the ultimate location for a countryside wedding. As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I am grateful to have photographed at some of the historic and gorgeous estates. These include Ashridge House, with its grand turreted façades, a choice of elegant reception rooms and unique backdrop. It is also surrounded by 190 acres of stunning gardens. A venue like this is photography heaven, therefore is a perfect location for your big day. There is Fanhams Hall, a beautiful country house in Ware. I particular love the Great Hall and Long Gallery rooms for all their photo heaven spectacular features. The courtyard and outside grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for your newlywed portraits and family photos.

Also, North Mymms Park offers an impressive choice of rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings and reception parties. Their elegant spaces come in all shapes and sizes, each boasting its own singular features, distinctive period décor and tranquil countryside views. Aynhoe Park is a unique 17thcentury stately home with extraordinary features and décor for a classic fairy tale wedding. There is the famous Knebworth House, where you can hold your ceremony in the beautiful house garden, a choice of three barns or in the house itself. If you want something a bit more modern and stylish, then you’d like The Grove in Watford. It’s a luxury hotel with stunning spaces for weddings and reception parties and amazing views of the Hertfordshire countryside. These are just a few of the amazing venues that this lovely county has to offer!

As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I take an unobtrusive approach to capturing the highlights and unstaged moments of emotion in an authentic and natural manner as your wedding day unfolds. For much of the day I fade into the background, I don’t alter scenes or interfere in any way. As your photographer, I rely on my observational and creative storytelling skills and focus on capturing timeless images of the people, places, events and special moments of your day.  Ahead of every wedding I like to get to know my couples through a pre-wedding consultation and we discuss incorporating formal group photos and romantic and creative couple portraits into the wedding day. During these parts of the day I will offer guidance and direction to make the best use of light and location whilst also ensuring that these images are a true reflection of your personalities.

While Hertfordshire is an amazing location for a wedding, there is no shortage of breath-taking locations all around the UK. From castles and stately homes, to barns and beaches, from weddings in mountains and fields to the shores of a lake, there really are endless possibilities for weddings to suit every style and taste. It doesn’t matter whether you are seeking the height of luxury or simple rustic chic, there will be a perfect UK wedding venue for you.

For couples based in Hertfordshire, but looking outside of the county, there are some fantastic venues to be found within an hour or less in the capital city of London. The Savoy and The Dorchester are long established and world renowned luxury hotels and the Corinthia Hotel is known for its elegance.

The Landmark Hotel is another stunning and historic wedding venue, The Connaught Hotel is situated on Mayfair and has a reputation for luxury. Hedsor House, Aynhoe Park, Notley Abbey and Blenheim Palace, Parklands Quendon Hall are all stunning country houses set in magnificent open spaces and easily accessible in the neighbouring counties of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Essex. Living on the edge of Hertfordshire, with its motorway and transport network means I’m ideally placed to travel throughout the UK. If you are looking for a Wedding Photographer, I’d love to hear all about your plans.

I’m UK based but travel across the world to capture destination wedding photography for my couples. I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to places such as Cyprus, The Azores and Lisbon, Portugal for weddings and other special occasions. In addition to loving what I do, traveling for wedding photography allows me to tick off my bucket list of locations to visit. Therefore, if you are planning a destination wedding, I would love to hear what you have planned and discuss how I can best serve you. If you’re wedding in a dream location which I’ve never photographed in, do get in touch as I am willing to work as closely to your budget as possible.

As couples are placing a greater emphasis on guest entertainments and adding personal touches beyond the ordinary, it’s important to make the most of your destination wedding photographer to capture everything that happens. So if you’re planning to have a pool party or an evening welcome reception dinner the day before the wedding or want a day-after portrait session, we can discuss creating a bespoke coverage for you. Why, because I want you to get the most out of your destination wedding venue and the vast array of stunning locations you’ll be able to choose from for your couples portraits. If you are looking for a Destination Wedding Photographer, I’d love to hear all about your plans.

Engagement and Pre-Wedding Shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of a camera ahead of your big wedding day. As beautiful as Hertfordshire is, the majority of my shoots happen tend to be in the capital because of its many iconic, vibrant and socially trendy locations to have an engagement and pre-wedding photoshoot. This includes locations such as Hampstead, Primrose Hill, Richmond, Rose Gardens and Pergola at Kew Gardens, all of which look beautiful during the spring, summer and autumn seasons. If you’re interested in having your very own engagement or pre-wedding photoshoot in Hertfordshire, London or surrounding counties, please get in touch and lets have a chat.
