I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Hertfordshire. I’m completely in love with photography and constantly inspired by the power of images and their ability not only to tell stories, but to help us remember details and moments that might otherwise be forgotten.

My wife Kamelia and I are very proud parents to two amazing daughters, Imaan and Abigail. When I’m not busy creating beautiful portraits and wedding photos I love to spend time with my family and friends, especially if there’s a BBQ involved! I’m also a big sports fan, I love watching Formula 1, playing football and watersports. In fact I enjoy any outdoor activity that really scares me, that might sound strange but I like to challenge myself and face my fears. As a family we enjoy travelling, discovering new places and cuisines, and meeting new people. And of course my camera comes along, I love to document our travels and the wonderful places we visit.

My photographic style blends the creation of beautiful romantic portraits with an unobtrusive documentary approach and my inspiration comes directly from you. I’m inspired by your stories, your personality, your relationship, and I take the time to get to know you through our consultation and your engagement shoot. This time spent together helps even the most camera shy to feel relaxed in front of the camera and means I’m able to anticipate those special moments of emotion between you and your loved ones.

My creative and documentary style of wedding photography captures these candid moments and tells the story of your day in a way that will always remind you of how your wedding felt as well as how it looked.

Picture yourself in two, ten or even thirty years’ time, sitting down with your wedding album, carefully turning the pages as you are transported back to your wedding day. Beautiful as they are, it won’t be the Instagram worthy picture of your dress gently billowing in the breeze, or the one of your perfectly styled table setting, that brings tears to your eyes or a smile to your face. It will be the look of immense pride on your father’s face as he walks you down the aisle, that moment your eyes meet as you say ‘I do’, the tears in the eyes of a parent when they see you in your wedding dress, the laughter as your uncle unleashes his best moves on the dance floor, the way you looked at each other as you stole a few quiet moments by yourselves.

As a documentary wedding photographer my approach is mostly unobtrusive, for formal groups photos and romantic portraits I’ll offer some gentle direction but otherwise I’ll be in the background quietly creating an emotive visual record of your day. Through a wedding consultation, either in person or over Skype, we can take some time to get to know each other and you can tell me all about your exciting plans. Working with the light and location, employing observational and compositional skills, I create images that are vibrant and full of emotion but at the same time artistic and elegant. It’s very important that you choose a photographer with a style that you love that also suits you as a couple and the kind of wedding you are planning. Be sure to check my portfolio page, take a look at my packages, and if you can see us working together let’s have a chat! I shoot a limited number of weddings to ensure that each couple has my full attention, so please get in touch to check my availability.

There are many documentary wedding photographers so why should you choose me? Before we go any further I must point out that it’s vital to choose a photographer whose style you love, so if you haven’t already please have a browse through my portfolio. If you are looking for a photographer with a candid approach whose work is bright, creative and emotive, then I might just be your man.

Prior to becoming a wedding photographer I worked in finance for a large organisation and I bring the same standards of professionalism and integrity to my photography business. I take on a limited number of weddings each year so every couple will experience the same level of creativity, artistry, and attention to detail. I’m always only a phone call or email away if you have questions or need advice and my experience in the industry means I’m often able to help with planning tips and recommendations.

If you have a large number of guests or multiple locations I can also arrange a second photographer to ensure full coverage. Your wedding photographs should be treasured for many, many, years so choosing the right photographer is extremely important. If my style and approach resonate with you please use the Contact form to get in touch, I’d love to talk weddings with you.

I love what I do and I’m good with people, with several years of experience as a documentary wedding photographer I work equally well with people who are shy or confident. I take the time to get to know you so you can trust that I won’t be guiding you into awkward poses or asking you to do anything that doesn’t feel natural to you as a couple.

I mix well with people of all ages so you can be confident that your family members, old or young, will feel comfortable having me around. I work unobtrusively so much of the time they probably won’t even notice me!
