Abi and Martin’s Pelham House wedding
Abi and Martin are hard-working young professionals with a love of the luxurious things in life, they booked me as their Pelham House wedding photographer after falling in love with the breath-taking venue from the moment they first stepped through the door. Most of their guests stayed overnight before their wedding at Pelham House, making everything really simple and stress-free. There were no worries about travel or traffic to contend with on their big day, which was really important to Abi and Martin.
Getting ready
Abi and her bridal party got ready in the cottages of Courthorpe Mews, a converted stable building in the grounds with its own dedicated dressing room. Make-up Artist, Painted by Esther worked in glorious sunlight as the ladies sipped champagne and the excitement levels started to build. Abi’s intricately embroidered wedding dress from Blinova Bridal looked absolutely stunning with her Chanel earrings and Christian Louboutin heels.
I used the soft light from the windows of the Pelham Suite to capture some portraits of Martin looking sharp in his suit from Suit Supply, before he took his place at the end of the aisle to wait for Abi’s arrival. The Goring Room had been decorated for their ceremony with floral displays from Chirpee Flowers. Subtle pastel tones of the roses and the crisp, delicate ceiling drapes created a sophisticated, minimal look, making the most of the natural light in this already impressive room.
An emotional wedding at Pelham House
Abi’s brother proudly walked her down the aisle to Martin and their ceremony began. The smiles on their faces and the happy tears during their emotional vows were a pleasure to capture as their Pelham House wedding photographer. The newlyweds walked back down the aisle and were showered with confetti by their friends and family, before heading out into the sunshine on the terrace for canapés and drinks.
I’d spent some time with Abi and Martin for a pre-wedding photoshoot in London, so they felt completely at ease for their portraits as newlyweds. I photographed some family groups and then took Abi and Martin for a short walk in the gardens, exploring the light and shadows for some spectacular Pelham House wedding photography.
“Our pictures are absolutely amazing and we loved how you captured all the candid moments with our small family and friends.”

Pelham House wedding reception
When it comes to wedding reception rooms, The Blencowe Room at Pelham House is exceptional. I had plenty of freedom to photograph speeches, moving around easily between tables and capturing the laughter and joy on everyone’s faces. This huge space is partly wood panelled, with high ceilings and modern chandeliers making it beautifully bright and cool, even in the height of summer.
Abi changed into a sparkly backless dress for the evening, and after cutting their towering white cake made by Love from Luisa, Abi and Martin had their first dance to Etta James’ ‘At Last’. Then they were joined by their guests, who made the most of the space to show off their best dance moves! The wooden floor of the Blencowe Room makes a brilliant dancefloor for evening parties, you could even get some disco lights to maximise the party vibe and dance the night away.
A sparkling exit at Pelham House Wedding
This amazing wedding concluded with everyone heading to the rear garden for sparklers, enjoying the warm summer night. It was the perfect way to celebrate Abi and Martin’s wedding, and I finished off my day as their Pelham House wedding photographer with a huge smile on my face.
