Valentines Mansion Wedding – Mimi & Jerry

Valentine Mansion Wedding Photographer

I was so honoured when Mimi and Jerry chose me to be their Valentine Mansion Wedding Photographer, because this day had been in the making since December 2018 when Jerry popped the question and was so important them. Both of African heritage, their original wedding plans was grand and luxurious, with a large traditional african ceremony as well as this white dress wedding with lots of family and friends to celebrate with. After many months of restrictions and being unsure when this grand wedding could happen, they decided what was important to them was being married and starting a new life together; and that the grand party could wait until a later time with no restrictions.

Mimi and Jerry first met and kindled a great friendship 8 years ago and they started dating 2 years later. After 4 years together, Jerry knew he’d found his soul mate in Mimi and asked her to married him. It is said that friendship is the foundation of a great and long lasting marriage, so when he popped the question to Mimi, she said “my answer was always going to be yes”. As their Valentine Mansion Wedding Photographer, it was very clear to me and everyone present on their wedding day, that they had an unwavering love for each. They are such an amazing couple with a great sense of humor and we got on like a house on fire. In Mimi’s own words “I’m not exaggerating when I say he felt like family“.

“Deji is deservedly a 5 star photographer! He is so professional and yet so friendly and very easy to work with. I’m not exaggerating when I say he felt like family. I especially love how he took time and due care to learn about us as individuals and as a couple over two consultations prior to our wedding day. Our wedding was held during the lockdown so it was a small occasion but his energy, meticulousness and direction made it feel more grand and special. I absolutely love my photos! My husband, Jerry and I made the best choice in hiring Deji to capture our day and we are very thankful! I totally recommend him!”

Mimi & Jerry

After their short and intimate wedding ceremony witnessed by two of the closest friends in the smart and stylish Holcombe Room, I captured some newlyweds portrait of the couple both in the Mansion and in the beautiful gardens surrounding Valentines Mansions. They then traveled back to their hotel for a quick change of clothes ready for the second half of the day, where Jerry had planned a surprise and luxurious boat ride by Thames Limo Ltd. They were greeted on arrival with champagne and chocolates, before going on a tour of the riverbanks of central London. After the boat ride, we header back to the hotel and create some beautiful and creative wedding portraits in the hotel lobby. Below is a highlight of their wedding day. Happy viewing!

At a slightly larger size, it is ideal for ceremonies of up to 40 people. It is also well lite for capturing great photos of brides and grooms saying I do, as well as the guests.
