Offley Place Wedding Photographer
Tucked away at the end of a sweeping driveway in the village of Great Offley, is the beautiful Offley Place Country House Hotel. Set in 27 acres of pristine lawns and gardens, it’s a picturesque venue with idyllic views. There are some incredible venues for weddings in Hertfordshire, and this is certainly on my list of favourites. It’s the simple elegance to this place that I love to capture as an Offley Place wedding photographer.
Weddings at Offley Place Country House
Tasteful, luxury weddings at Offley Place are complimented perfectly by the sense of old meets new, in the simple neutral décor of the event rooms. From intimate weddings, to full scale banquets, and colourful cultural celebrations for Asian, Jewish, Greek and Turkish weddings – the spaces available are so flexible and they can be made completely unique for your day. The venue can also be made available for exclusive use, including 16 bedrooms for your guests on the night of your wedding.
Your Offley Place Wedding
The Conservatory, as the name might suggest, is a light, bright space with full height windows and a glass ceiling; but this is no ordinary conservatory! The rustic, exposed brickwork and the twinkling chandeliers create a sophisticated blank canvas, licensed for ceremonies with up to 120 guests. You can also hold your wedding breakfast with 82 guests in The Conservatory, surrounded by the gardens and trees – if you need a little more space, the adjoining Spencer Restaurant can increase the capacity to 118 people.
If you have a larger wedding planned, then the newly added Hester Ballroom can seat 250 of your friends and family. Wooden floors and paned windows are complimented by neutral décor, and the muted greens of the window frames in the vaulted ceiling, again flooding the room with light. My signature documentary wedding photography style means I will be capturing the day using the natural light, and blending in with your guests to make sure I don’t miss a moment as your Offley Place wedding photographer.
Luxury Wedding Venue – Jewish and Asian Weddings
Having the flexibility to decorate the Offley Place weddings as simply or as lavishly as you desire, makes it ideal for colourful cultural celebrations. The high ceilings are also really useful when huge bespoke Mandaps are used for Asian weddings in front of a large number of guests. You’ll be thankful for the extra ceiling height if you’re planning a Jewish wedding too – you can be lifted on a chair or flung into the air during The Hora, as your friends and family celebrate with you. Offley Place is actually a recommended vendor on popular Jewish wedding blog, ‘Smashing the Glass’.

The year-round colour provided by the gardens and parklands creates an interesting backdrop for Offley Place wedding photography. The Rose Garden is a popular location for newlywed portraits, with the little pathways and colourful flowers in Summer. We’ll escape for a few moments for a short photoshoot and explore the grounds, capturing shots in front of the main house. I’m especially drawn to the ivy-covered wall, which turns vibrant shades of red and orange in autumn. The Wild Garden also offers unstructured, natural textures for a more free-spirited feel to your Offley Place wedding photos.
Even if the weather isn’t so kind to us, there are still plenty of options to work with inside Offley Place. The huge windows mean we can catch glimpses of the gardens and trees whilst sheltering from the rain, using the architectural features of the building to frame creative portraits. There’s an amazing staircase for dramatic shots with some luxury details too. Capturing the luxurious details and emotional moments of your wedding day is what I do best, and having Offley Place as a backdrop is the icing on the cake!
